Bio and Information

Meet one of Manitoba’s most exciting Rock/Pop/Country Rock/Ukrainian wedding, dance and all-around zabava (party) bands “The High Profile Dance Band.”  Based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, “High Profile” has been performing at various functions throughout Winnipeg, Southern Manitoba and beyond for nearly 20 years.  The 5 very approachable and friendly members of “High Profile” bring many years of combined musical experience to provide you with a musical extravaganza that you will not soon forget.

“High Profile” has performed at the following types of functions:

• weddings (throughout Winnipeg and much of Manitoba)

• banquets (ie. corporate functions)

• festivals (inside and outside of Manitoba)

• house parties, etc.

 

 

“High Profile” is a very very rare type of band ie. they play both Ukrainian and Contemporary with the same high standard for each musical style that is not easily replicated.  “High Profile” can play for ANY type of function.  For a complete listing of what style of music “High Profile” can play, please see the Musical Styles Played page.  In this way, “High Profile” has the ability to bring together 2 to 3 generations of music lovers in one evening.  Plus, “High Profile” likes to inject a little humour into its act to leave audiences with smiles from ear to ear.

The band members are not only accomplished players on stage, they have also developed their talents in the recording studio.  The result is that “High Profile” has recorded 3 very successful Ukrainian CDs.  (Please refer to the Discography page for more information as there are MP3 clips for you to download!!!).  All recordings exemplify that “High Profile” can modernize Ukrainian music while maintaining the traditional approach.  Both CDs have received extensive airplay across Canada and now are being played in the United States.
